n 1972 I was a back-to-the-land homesteader in Western Maryland. During
this experience I met a professional woodworker and from that point on I
knew that this was the career for me.
Two years later I started selling my work and the business was born. In the
mid-1970's I started doing juried art and fine craft shows from Michigan to
Boston down to Miami.
There have been 2 books published featuring my boxes and numerous awards
have come my way, along with dozens of articles in newspapers and magazines.
In the past 30+ years I have been accepted to over 500 juried shows, some of
the most prestigous in the nation. I have also been a juror for several shows
over the years and in 2006 I was invited to teach a course on how to market art
and fine crafts.
For over 25 years I have lived in Northwest New Jersey with my lovely
wife, Kim. She has blessed me with 2 wonderful stepdaughters and 3 wonderful grandchildren who have inspired me to design boxes bearing their names.
